The impressive and practical electric Skoda
Skoda Enyaq 150kW 80 Sportline Plus 82kWh 5 door Auto
A smooth, quiet and comfortable drive, the Skoda Enyaq 150kW 80 Sportline Plus 82kWh 5 door Auto.
Skoda’s first all-electric car to hit the road with the impressive and modern drive of a contemporary electric. The Enyaq is bursting with potential with a 326-mile range and producing 204PS, it also has a bigger 77kWh battery and impressive interior space, as large as the 7-seater Skoda Kodiaq.
The front of the car looks very aggressive with squared off air intakes on either side and a lower grille along the bottom. The side of the car is well proportioned with styling lines, while at the back there’s a roof spoiler with tapered rear lights.

Key features for the 80 model include Silver roof rails, a driving mode selector, paddles on the steering wheel for regenerative braking, front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera. The 80 Sportline trim adds in half leather, half alcantara upholstery, full LED matrix headlights, 20” alloys, heated front sport seats and a heated multi function steering wheel, plus keyless entry.
The Enyaq is rear wheel drive which helps with acceleration, but the Enyaq is not geared towards performance. It is quiet and friendly to drive with no gear changing required: the paddle shifts behind the steering wheel alter the amount of regenerative braking - this technology will put some charge back into the battery when slowing down. The car even tells you when to lift off the steering wheel as you approach a roundabout or junction.
The car weighs around two tons, but the batteries under the floor provide a low centre of gravity, which helps with handling, as a result, there isn’t too much body roll into corners that you would expect for an SUV.

If you are interested, Skoda includes a three-year, 60,000-mile warranty, although the mileage is unlimited for the first two years, therefore, long distance drivers won’t be penalised in the for the first two years. It is also extendable to five years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
The interior is very well designed, with a tiered dashboard effort and a cloth finish on the dashboard’s surfaces. The gear selector is merely a little switch on the centre console and even has a small glove box by the steering wheel on the driver’s side.
Overall, we think it is a good-looking EV SUV, that drives well and is practical and spacious, has a lovely modern interior compared to some EV SUV’s on to the market today.
